As a Junior Service Consultant at ORTEC you will be part of a unique organization and team!

You will be working for the Central Service Desk (CSD). CSD is our single central contact point for all our existing customers, spanning all over the world with offices in e.g.The Netherlands (HQ in Zoetermeer), the United States (in Atlanta), Australia (in Melbourne) and Romania (CEE headquarters). As a Service Consultant, you and your international colleagues are responsible for keeping all running customer environments performing smooth and up to date.

Next to keeping the IT environments happy you are obviously also responsible for keeping the customers themselves happy. You will answer customer questions ranging from simple requests such as changing a column name, to complicated requests where even the customer himself is not sure what he is asking for. New customer requests have to be translated to our development department OSD.

It’s crucial that you have experience in IT and that you generally like IT, that you possess the right analytical skills (as our products are quite complex) and that you have a certain creativity in looking for solutions and managing client relationships.

  • Able to handle highly complex problems, you thus possess strong analytical skills.
  • Able to fluently communicate in Dutch and English (verbally and in writing).
  • Communicative, representative, commercially driven and motivated by client satisfaction.
  • Like staying on top of new developments.
  • Inquisitive, creative and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how.
  • Passionate about IT!
  • Educated with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Logistics or comparable and up to 3 years of working experience.
  • Experienced in or have knowledge about recent Windows Operating Systems, networks, database management systems (SQL Server) and SQL-scripting, software development and exploitation.
