The assignments

As a Thales trainee you will be trained for a steep learning curve, to advance your career within Thales quickly. You’ll be provided with tools to grow into an internal position with impact. You will work on three interdisciplinary assignments within approximately two years. After which you’ll land in a challenging job within Thales.

What you’ll work with

The subjects you will work on are existing, interdisciplinary and challenging, based on a ‘real need’ and results. This gives you immediate responsibilities and exposure to (senior) management, the organization and external parties. As much as possible, you will have influence on the choice of your assignments. As a new trainee you will start your first, eight month, assignment at our headquarters in Hengelo; this also includes the introduction period together with the other trainees. Together you will form a learning team, coached by our external partner.

The second and third assignment both last six months and can take place at any one of our Dutch sites (Hengelo, Huizen, Eindhoven, Delft, Amersfoort), at an international Thales, site or at one of our customers.

The three assignments you go through as a trainee each have a different focus area, namely technical/operational, strategic and project-related. Additionally, you will work on a Thales NL strategic project for all trainees to collaborate on.
