The Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Study Association 'Christiaan Huygens'

‘Christiaan Huygens’ (CH) is the study association for students of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Delft University of Technology. Study associations are run for and by students.

The aims of CH are as follows:

  • realising study-related aims of students of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Delft University of Technology;
  • creating a bond between these students;
  • creating a bond between the students and the alumni of these studies.

CH achieves its aims relating to study by selling study books and maintaining an archive of old exams. CH also evaluates education and tries to solve education-related problems. Furthermore, CH organises activities which broaden the students’ field of study, such as lectures, excursions or symposia.

Students do more than just study and this is why CH organises non study-related activities such as lunches, social drinks and parties.

After graduating many students wish to stay in touch with their classmates. This is why CH has a committee for alumni called ‘Constantijn Huygens’ (CoH). CoH organises activities for alumni, such as reunions, special lectures or symposia.

You can buy the most books that you will need for your study at CH. We sell all the books for the bachelor studies and the common core books for the master studies. The books here are often cheaper than in stores. More information on book sales

Exams archive

Old exams are necessary to study for an upcoming exam. CH has an archive of old exams for students to use online.

Mailing list

To receive updates about upcoming CH activities and important announcements, you can sign-up for the CH mailing list through the Board.

Evaluating education

There are committees of all years of all studies which evaluate education. Here, students evaluate the contents of the courses, the lectures that are given or the practicals that have to be followed. If there are any problems, the committees try to solve these by working together with the lecturers and the commissioners of education of the CH board. More information on evaluation committees
