The presentation will shortly delve into two projects that the data-analysis group of Witteveen+Bos has contributed to.
The first project is called eDNA and will show a new method used to quickly analyze water samples with the help of DNA sampling. Various statistical correlation methods have been used to highlight differences and dependencies between life forms and locations.
The second project is called ‘PET kaart Nederland’ or a map of the physically equivalent temperature, i.e. the temperature a human body experiences. Depending on temperature, but also the urban heat island, wind and humidity a human experiences a certain heat stress. The aim of this (running) project is to create a map for the whole of the Netherlands (based on a particular sunny day).
