“Within Thales, modelling and simulation of radar systems plays an important role, both for the customer (national defences) and several departments of Thales. In this talk, I will elaborate on this role of operational analysis, which connects mathematics, physics, engineering and programming. Besides, I will shortly mention other interesting mathematical directions within Thales NL, such as signal processing and logistics.”
