Freshmen Parents Day

Are your parents curious to see where exactly you spend all your time studying? Are you excited to show them your lecture halls and study areas? No worries, this can all happen during the parents day! You will go on an exclusive tour through the faculty, get a lecture by one of your teachers and optionally can explore a bit of Delft.

Please note: You have to buy one ticket for each person attending the Parents Day

Morning program
In the morning you and your parent(s) can explore the faculty you study at, EEMCS (Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science). The morning starts with a coffee in the central hall and cafeteria. There will be a lecture given by a first year teacher about a subject in Computer Science or Mathematics. Don’t worry, it won’t be too difficult and does not have any homework! You will also get a tour throughout the whole faculty and some parts of the campus. We will conclude this part of the day with a nice lunch.

Afternoon program
In the afternoon it will be time to explore Delft. There will be a boat tour through the canals of Delft. Afterwards you can participate in the pub quiz in de bar of the faculty EEMCS, called the /Pub. Here you can order some pizza and enjoy it with a nice drink.

Online parents day
This year it will be possible to follow the morning program of the parents day through your screen at home! If Delft is a bit too far to travel to or if at home is just more comfortable, this is the solution for you. The lectures given by the teacher will be streamed live through a link that will be made available later here. There will also be a recorded tour of the faculty and campus you can watch.

Lunch and dinner
Lunch and dinner will be available during the Parents Day. The lunch is included in the price and will thus be free for you. We would like you to fill in the form through the button below whether you want to have lunch, as we want to limit food waste. In this form you can also indicate if you want to have pizza in de /Pub (bar of EEMCS) during the pub quiz as dinner. These costs are not included in the ticket price.
