Registrations close Sunday 28th of October.

Have you ever wondered how it is studying or working far abroad? Or have you always wanted to travel intercontinentally? Then the Study Trip is perfect for you!

What?

Once every three years, the study association of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science W.I.S.V. ‘Christiaan Huygens’ forms a Study Visit committee which organizes a 3-week study visit to an intercontinental destination. Besides cultural activities, the trip will include visits to local and global companies and universities. Before the visit, all participants will attend the preliminary program, consisting of inhouse-days, workshops and lectures in the Netherlands.

Where?

This time the Study Visit committee, New Horizons, will organize an extraordinary trip to South-Korea and Japan. Two front runner countries in the area of business and technology.

When?

We will leave the Netherlands on July 10, 2019 to fly to Japan. There we will visit two of the largest cities of Japan: Tokyo and Kyoto. Afterwards we take the boat to South-Korea, where we will visit two other cities, Seoul and Daejeon. On July 31, we fly back to Amsterdam, where the trip comes to an end.

Who?

Are you a Master or end of Bachelor student in Computer Science or Applied Mathematic? Then we are looking for you! The committee selects 23 students based on their study progress, curriculum vitae and motivation letter.

Why?

The trip will be an amazing opportunity to travel through countries with interesting cultures, state of the art businesses, and prestigious universities with a group of other enthusiastic students.

Throughout the preliminary program, you will get to know the other participants better. And during the trip, it will become a close friend group.
